Personality: Suki as she is nicknamed, is a very quiet yet sweet girl. She's kind of mysterious but she's always got a kind word or smile for anyone who needs it. She's rarely ever raised her voice in front of anyone; and she's kind of a 'flighty' girl.. or so she leads to believe.
Flaws: She's not part of her tribe fully though she was born to them, she wasn't raised on tribal lands she lived outside and was raised by a family who moved into the america's at an early age. She's tolerated by her other kind because unlike most Ratkin she has not given up hope on humanity or the other creature be they shifter or kindred. This isn't really widely enjoyed on the part of her fellow 'rats'.
History: Suki was born to into her tribe as a kind of rarity, her name translates into “Rain Fairy” because the day she was born and took her first breath to cry it started raining. Her mother saw it as an omen and the Shaman said that her mother was deceived the night that she conceived that it was not her husband that had laid with her; but a dark man of a different kind and that an ancient disease of the family would take place in her child.
So for the good of her remaining people her mother sent the child away to an adoptive family; praying the Shaman was wrong about the curse. So for her own good, Sokanon was raised by a normal people. Or so she thought; she found out some years later after they moved to the America's the truth about her birth at a teenage year when strange fevers took her over and the strangest dreams revealed to her what she was.
She did not see this as a curse; but a kind of blessing. Trying to cling to the ancient beliefs of her people, Suki took on the role of communing with the spirits and serving the needs of her great mother Gaia; much to the chagrin of her people. She was not as bitter and hate-filled as them; and her acceptance of the other kind including the leeches was a bane on them. She did not feel the taint of the wyrm and was a harmless kind; hiding as best she could for years among normal society.
Supporting herself through college majoring in nothing in particular, she rented a slummy little hotel room near the edge of the city, enjoying the sight of the tree's she could find in this urban landscape.
